The new Lifestyles and Sentiments system included in the new expansion pack also adds depth to character creation. The incorporation of Japanese inspired clothing, architecture, and traditions allows Simmers to better create sims from different cultures and walks of life. Maxis and EA are taking steps to provide gameplay that speaks to their global audience in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape. With the Xbox Series X/S having backwards compatibility, it could be possible that a physical copy of the Xbox One version of The Sims 4 may work on the Xbox Series X. There’s no word on when or if The Sims 4 will be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The expansion pack will be released for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It may not officially be winter yet, but Simmers will get to enjoy everything included in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape on November 13 th. While part of the fun for many builders in The Sims 4 is bulldozing or renovating the lots created by producers, this time The Sims 4 producers have no hand in the creation of the lots in the new world. Another first for The Sims 4 is every lot included in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape was created by Simmers in the EA Game Changers program. In the base game update that will release ahead of Snowy Escape, players will be able to have rental properties in any of The Sims 4 worlds. Previously, Simmers could only rent property in the vacation worlds of Granite Falls from The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat, Selvadorada from The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, and Sulani from The Sims 4: Island Living. In The Sims 4: Snowy Escape preview it’s revealed that for the first time in Sims 4 history, players will be able to live and rent in the new Japanese inspired world Mount Komorebi. The Sims 4: Snowy Escape provides a variety of gameplay opportunities for Simmers such as skiing, snowboarding, and rock climbing. Players who look forward to exploring the mountainous world of Mount Komorebi in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape won’t have to wait long as the newest Sims 4 expansion pack is just two weeks away. The initial fan response to this expansion was mixed, with some Simmers being excited and others believing the new snow-based pack could’ve been included in The Sims 4: Seasons. Earlier this month Maxis Studios announced the newest expansion pack for The Sims 4, a winter sports-themed pack called The Sims 4: Snowy Escape.
